Social Media
Social media is a valuable tool used to increase brand awareness and interaction with our members. We ask that whether you are using your personal accounts or posting on a club social media channel that you use your best judgment and that you take responsibility for your posts.
This social media policy applies to all sites including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, blog sites, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.
Members are restricted from referencing members, coaches or players by name, or the confidential details of club activities, in their social media disclosures.
If you choose to share that you are a member on any social media accounts, please keep in mind that you represent the club; therefore, you should not post any offensive or inappropriate content.
All posts on member social media accounts, blogs, websites, etc. should not include proprietary information including comments, videos or pictures. The club reserves the right to monitor, prohibit, restrict, block, suspend, terminate, delete or discontinue your access to club social media channels.
Members may only mention the organization's official policies in their social media disclosures when those policies are publicly available on the Internet and may only do so if they include a link to that policy in their disclosure.
Whether officially authorized to speak on behalf of the club or not, members may be seen by people outside of our club as representatives of our brand. Members are encouraged to represent the fundamental principles of our organization whenever they make social media disclosures about the organization or organization-related topics.
Think carefully before you make any social media disclosures about the organization. What you publish online may be available to a broad audience for a very long time. When in doubt, leave it out.
